I've been looking for a pair of Oxfords and found most to either be super expensive or flimsy quality. I have several pairs of FRYE boots - this is my first pair of shoes and they are perfect. True to size and with the same high quality FRYE leather. They look great with ankle pants, jeans and skirts - looking forward to getting more use of them after summer.

Shoes are very comfortable. The thicker sole provides good support. They are a little ' clunky' but I love them. The sale price made them a great value.

I think the issue here is that I am a small, 5' tall person. One of the reviews here said these shoes run big, and since I have narrow feet I followed that advice and got a 6.5 when I might have went with a 7. Well, the 6.5 is a perfect fit, like a glove, but...these look like clown shoes on me. :( They make my feet look disproportionately huge! I'm really upset about it, too, because these shoes are absolutely beautiful. They are extremely well-crafted and stylish, and with a bit of breaking in I know I'd never want to take them off. I'm sure they'll last almost forever. But, on little ol' me, they are clown shoes. Again I can't size down; the 6.5 fits perfectly. I think the shoes just extend really far in the front, like those classic pointy Nine West pumps (of which I have had numerous pairs, oddly enough). These shoes are solid and well worth the price you'll pay for them, but if you're small, you may want to consider the fact that, on you, they'll probably look like clown shoes. :( I think the effect is even more noticeable since these aren't boots. My Doc Martens' make my feet look bigger than they are, but somehow it's not so...overwhelming. I think it's because they're boots, and clowns typically wear big floppy shoes like these oxfords. Ugh. Saddest day ever over here.
