I'm a fan of Fluevog and thought this shoe would be cute for swing dancing due to its leather sole. However, the fit falls short. the shoe is very stiff and would take a lengthy break-in period. I purchased both a size 10 and a 10 1/2; typically I wear a 10 medium. this shoe was too long in some areas (from arch to toe) and too short in others (from heel to arch). I can't say that the narrow size is a true N width as a 10 1/2 narrow usually fits me as well as a 10M. other Fluevog shoes have fitted better.the sides of the shoe in both sizes (under the ankle bones) is too high and would most likely rub against the bone. and again the medium shoe was too tight across the widest part of the foot in some areas and too wide in others. Also, the color is a bit strange (I like the colors putty and beige) and this is neither. Much better described to be like a strangely colored semi-blue milk in an unfortunate color value and saturation. It puts me in mind of an old nurse's shoe that had aged sadly.I'd also ordered the Fluevog Zurich flat (black and white) in both the 10 and 10 1/2. the 10 fitted the best of the 4 shoes. It also has leather soles and will need only to have the heels changed to leather ones to be appropriate for swing. the leather is again very stiff and I'll need to wear this around the house for a while to break-in. on the distaff side this shoe appears to be very durable and will most likely have a long life span.
