When I saw this shoe online, I ordered it immediately, since I had owned this oxford many years ago. When it arrived, I gasped, since the brown on this oxford is nothing like the bright - almost coppery brown color in the picture, Instead, it is a darker, dull brown, almost an olive color. Further, the shoes had been worn, based on the small wrinkles beneath the big toe area. However, after wearing them, I am reminded of the pros: The shoes are well-made, as the Via Spiga is a reliable, quality brand. The soles are leather, with some anti-skid material on the toes and heels. The brown color, while not my preference, is a neutral tone (although it takes getting used to). Most women's oxfords of this style and workmanship usually cost quite a bit more. So, I decided to keep them. Had the color been as pictures, and not had the small wrinkles, I would have given them 5 stars.
