I love Frye. I really do. I own 4 different pair of Frye boots and love, love, love them. These kilties were to be my go to work shoe. Don't get me wrong, they are super cute. However, I expected them to be comfortable out of the box like the other boots I have. These were not. The leather was stiff and they dug into my feet in a weird way. I have a narrow/medium width foot but found these tight. A half size up might work but I suspect the heel would be too wide. Overall, they are cute, but not cute enough that I wanted to take the chance and wear them until they softened. These shoes are made in China versus Mexico, where my boots were made. The fit is not the same and sorry, they just seemed chintzy compared to what I expect from Frye. I returned them. :(

These shoes are very sharp looking! I love the look! They are indeed well made but man is this leather stiff. I hope the break in time is soon, I've worn about 3 times so far, because my little toe is so red at the end of the day, I'm afraid to wear a little more often for fear of getting a blister. So I wear a little at a time for my little toe sake. I was surprised they did not have a sheen to them, very dull black. If I had to do it again, I'd probably send these back..but the deed is done..they are mine.

Very happy with purchase, great pair of Oxfords. Frye delivers again, very comfortable and well made. Lots of detail in the leather.
