I have 3 pairs of Dr. Martens boots and I love them, these are my first low cut docs. The shoes look great with the croc finish and they are as comfortable as my boots. They are shaped more like a dress shoe but still have that great Dr. Marten quality. They look good with jeans, khakis or slacks.

Used to own a pair 3989, that lasted over 10 years...couldn't resist dumping it away. Chose 1461 Croco for the much acclaimed "Reinvented" new awesome design, had succeeded 3989 satisfactorily...well at least for me.
