The slip-resistant Munro Tech outsole helps reduce impact as you walk, and it flexes with your foot for fantastic comfort. Enhanced cushioning comes from the contoured polyurethane footbed; it can also be removed so you can insert a personal orthotic. A riveted steel shank delivers powerful support, and the combination last (shape) is narrower at the heel than it is at the forefoot, so it gives you a great-feeling fit. Needed, rather, during that very cold weekend I spent in New York walking miles in my lace-up black boots that are made for snow and messy weather but not for that much walking on pavement. These shoes are perfect--comfortable, and not clunky-looking at all. Haven't walk miles in them yet, but can't wait to. Am considering getting them in additional colors (I have black suede & nubuck.) I have a narrow foot, and, though these did not seem to come in narrow sizes, the 6 medium is just right.

Excellent shoe for people who need supportive shoes but want style and comfort. Runs a bit narrow but I wear a B and it fits well even with my orthotic.
